Truck trailer overturns on motorway

On Friday morning, shortly after 7 a.m., a truck-trailer combination loaded with timber was driving on the A4 motorway from Küssnacht towards Zurich. For reasons that are yet unknown, the trailer of the truck started swinging from side to side, and then fell onto its side, according to a report from the Zug Law Enforcement on Friday. The trailer spilled its load of wooden battens onto the motorway.
 
The 55-year-old driver was uninjured, but there was property damage amounting to several thousand francs. Only one lane of the motorway could be used for the following two and a half hours, while the wood was being recovered from the road, the vehicle was salvaged and the details of the accident recorded. The Zug police and the Zentras were deployed to the scene.
