Smoke in triple-function gym

Zug police yesterday reported that the Zug emergency services had been called to Hünenberg shortly before 5:15 on Monday evening. Gymnasts had seen smoke in triple gymnasium (Dreifachturnhalle) on the Zentrumstrasse.

The Zug ambulance service checked a total of 28 people. Although increased carbon monoxide levels were measured in two children, no one had to be taken to hospital.
 
Investigations by Zug police revealed that construction work had led to a smoldering fire in the roof. The rapid intervention on the roof by the Hünenberg fire department (not surprising as they're directly opposite!) stopped the further spread of the smouldering fire. The total damage amounts to several thousand francs.
