Scandinavian Health Ltd and MME legal practice to join city

As is widely known, the city of Zug’s administration offices are to be housed in the former main building of the Landis+Gyr company from 2019 onwards. Less well known is which other companies will be moving into these premises at number 22 Gubelstrasse.

The Property Department of the City of Zug has actually been in discussion with interested companies for the past few months now. While the city will take over space in the basement, on the ground and three uppermost floors when they move in at the end of June that year, it can now be revealed that the MME company, a leading legal practice advising clients on fiscal and compliance matters, will be moving there, too. MME was set up in Zug in 1999 and also has offices in Zurich.

Another tenant is the Scandinavian Health Limited (SHL) Group, one of the world’s largest solution providers in the design, development and manufacturing of advanced drug-delivery systems such as auto and pen injectors. Founded in 1989, the Group employs some 3,700 worldwide and, over the next five years, it plans to employ a staff of 100 in Zug.

The KLuG health insurance company of Landis+Gyr is already housed in the building but will be moving within it.

The city is already in contact with another possible tenant for office space of the remaining 300 square metres.
Speaking in his capacity as head of finance of the city of Zug, which owns the building, Karl Kobelt said he was very happy to have been able to lure such renowned tenants who already enjoyed a good reputation here and others promising to create yet more jobs in the canton.
