Musical and sporting associations to benefit from CHF 276,000

The cantonal government has announced that musical and sports associations are to benefit from CHF 276,000 from two lottery funds.

The Zug Chamber Soloists (main photograph), which performs a wide range of music from early baroque to more modern works, are to benefit from a total of CHF 120,000 from the cantonal lottery for the years 2018 and 2019. In addition, the Collegium Musicum Zug, which also concentrates on chamber music, is to receive a total of CHF 40,000 over the next two years.

Not that it is purely musical associations which are to benefit from public funding, so are three sporting groups, too, as mentioned. One is the Ice Sport Association of Zug (second photograph), which is to benefit from just under CHF 50,000 from the Swisslos Sport Fund for the 2017-2018 season. This is to help budding ice-hockey players, not least by providing them with all the equipment they need.

Other sporting associations to benefit from the afore-mentioned sport fund include the “Aegeri in Ice” event (third photograph), to the tune of CHF 37,000, and the Hünenberg Crossbow Archery Association. This will be using some of its funding, just under CHF 29,000, for the renovation of their shooting range.
