Motor caravan burns out on road

A motor caravan totally burnt out on a main road in Neuheim on Friday evening. Fortunately no-one was injured.
 
The incident happened shortly before 8 pm that evening on Sihlbruggstrasse in the municipality as the driver was on his way from Neuheim to Sihlbrugg. It was as he was driving through road works that he noticed his vehicle was on fire.
 
The 28-year-old managed to bring his vehicle to a halt on the right hand side of the road and, along with his dog, he was able to escape to safety.
 
Fortunately the Neuheim fire brigade was able to extinguish the flames, though not before the vehicle had totally burnt out, causing damage to the extent of several thousands of francs. Sihlbruggstrasse had to be closed for two hours as a result.
 
In addition to the local fire brigade, the Zug Police were also in attendance.
