Lake-shore fight leaves two needing hospital treatment

A fight near the lake shore in the early hours of Sunday morning led to two men involved requiring hospital treatment. Police have since urged members of the public who may be able to provide further information as to how the fight started to contact them without delay.

The incident happened shortly before 1.30 am near the golden kiosk on Alpenquai, where when two men were
making their way home. According to police information issued on Tuesday, when they came across another group of men, taunting comments were made on both sides and a fight duly ensued. This resulted in two Swiss men, aged 23 and 26, having to be taken to hospital to be treated, in part, for serious injuries.

It was shortly afterwards that police were able to arrest two men involved, a 25-year-old Kosovan and a 26-year-old Swiss man, who have been detained in custody.
