Injured workman flown to clinic by helicopter

A 40-year-old Portuguese workman was flown by helicopter to a specialist clinic in another canton yesterday afternoon after he fell several metres at his place of work.

The emergency services were called to the scene, the precise location of which has not been announced, at around 1.30pm.

After initial assessment on site, it was decided he should be flown to a specialist clinic without delay and a REGA rescue helicopter was duly summoned.

The Zug police are looking into the precise circumstances of the incident.
