Hockey stadium to become popular music arena

The first Zug popular music night (Zuger Schlagernacht) will be held on May 7^th, 2015 in the Bossard Arena, where EVZ fans normally cheer on their hockey team. With Hansi Hinterseer, Francine Jordi and the Paldauern, three of the flagships of the popular music (Schlagermusik) scene have confirmed that they will appear, write the organizers in a statement.
 
The first Popular Music Arena in Zug is presented by Sascha Ruefer in a co-production with the EVZ Gastro AG. Ruefer has made a name for himself in the popular music scene as the host of TV programmes such as Star Night, Grand Prix of Folk Music or Schlagersommer. He is now coming to Zug with his stars, and is thereby working together with Folk-pop initiator Rosario Galliker. Fopr many years the duo have been responsible for the successful "Volksschlager Open-Air” and other popular music events in Switzerland. The Zug Schlager Arena will become a permanent fixture in the annual Zug calendar of events from 2015, wrote the organizers on Tuesday in a statement.

Ticket sales will start on 17^th December. Prices range from 65 to 195 francs.

After a successful sports career as a ski racer, Hansi Hinterseer began his second, and equally successful career as a singer and entertainer. Since then, the 60-year-old has thrilled tens of thousands of fans on his tours. Numerous recordings, gold records and other awards have paved the way of the blond heartthrob. He is celebrating his 20th anniversary this year with a major tour, which is why he has reduced his appearances in 2015. His appearance in Zug on May 7 will be one of his rare appearances in Switzerland.
 
Francine Jordi has enjoyed more than 15 years of success as a singer and composer n the music business. With the title "Das Feuer der Sehnsucht (The fire of desire)", she reached first place at the 1998 Grand Prix of Folk Music. Thanks to this success, she is now one of the top league of Swiss popular music stars, and is known as the ‘Schlagerschätzchen’ (popular music darling) of the nation.
 
The Paldauer is one the most successful popular music bands of today, and ensure an unforgettable experience with their music and their excellent stage presentation.
