Free bicycle hire at three locations
From Friday 1 May and until October, bicycles will be available for hire free of charge in Zug, Cham and Baar. Each of the “Velobus” stations will offer between 15 and 20 bicycles completely free of charge between 9 am and 9 pm, seven days a week. The bicycles can be picked up at the following locations: Bundesplatz in the city of Zug, Dorfstrasse 5a in Baar and Mandelhof in Cham. A helmet is included with each bicycle and there are also some cycles available with child seats.
The free bicycle hire project first began in 1994, with 7,500 bicycles loaned out last year.
