Four people injured in early-morning incident

Four people were injured after the car in which they were travelling collided with a wall and the crash barrier while heading in the Zurich direction on Monday morning

The incident happened are around 1.30 am, as, for reasons yet unknown, the 45-year-old driver, a Chinese national, lost control over his vehicle, in which four other people were travelling, the car crashing firstly into a wall on the right-hand side before hitting the crash barriers on the left. While the driver himself was lucky to escape injury, all his passengers, aged between 43 and 58, had to be taken to hospital.

As can be seen from the photograph, the car was totally written-off in the incident, with extensive damage to motorway infrastructure amounting to several tens of thousands of francs.
