Fairytales in Höllgrotten Baar

Fairytales in a subterranean magic empire

Experience the enchantment of fairy tales told by Gisela Eng in the fascinating "Höllgrotten" Baar.

Fairytales are told in Swiss German.

About Höllgrotten:
Höllgrotten is the name given to the limestone caves near Baar, which are certainly worth a visit. The caves are situated adjacent to the wild and picturesque valley of the river Lorze, displaying a fantastic array of stalactites and stalagmites.
The caves, after millenia of being formed by calcareous springs, were discovered at the end of the 19th century, while tuff was being mined from a nearby quarry. The stalagmites and stalactites in their various hues give each cave its own character. This fairytale world is well lit and the caves are connected by good pathways.
