Zug curling team triumphs in Tallinn

The Stocker team from Curling Club Zug (CC Zug) has won the tournament in Tallinn, Estonia, as part of the World Curling Tour.

The quarter-final against the Norwegian team Hostmaelingen was a close affair for a long time, but the Zug team finally prevailed. In the semi-final, there was then a Swiss derby against the Bern Zähringer team (skip Michael Brunner). The game was evenly balanced before Skip Yves Stocker's team turned up the heat in the second half.

In the final against the Swedish team Nyman, Zug benefited from a major mistake by the Swedes, which allowed them to steal three points. Stocker and Co. finally won their first title on the World Curling Tour this season with a clear final result of 10:4. Thery thereby won a cheque for EUR 1,200.00.
