Woman attacks her husband with a pickaxe

Wild scenes in Unterägeri: a woman attacked her husband with a "Sappie" – a pickaxe - on Friday morning, 29th September. Only one day later did she go to a shop in Unterägeri and mentioned that her injured husband needed help.

The rescue workers deployed immediately – and found a 48-year-old man with head and arm injuries at the man's place of residence. This was reported by the Zug Police on Tuesday afternoon.

While at the scene of the attack, the woman admitted that she deliberately inflicted the injury on her partner – because of a dispute in the partnership. The woman was then arrested by the Zug Police.

The Public Prosecutor's Office of the Canton of Zug has now opened a criminal investigation into the attempted homicidal crime. Furthermore, at the request of the public prosecutor, the compulsory measures court committed the 48-year-old woman to pre-trial detention.
