Two accidents in Cham over the weekend
A woman driver came off the road, crashed into a small tree and her car came to a stop lying on its side. Fortunately, no-one was injured.
The accident occurred on the night of Saturday (18 September 2021), shortly before 4:00 a.m. A 39-year-old woman driver was driving on the Sinserstrasse in the direction of Cham. At the "Hammergut" housing development, her car came off the road and crashed into a small tree on the right side. The car then tipped over to the side and came to a stop on the road.
The 39-year-old driver was uninjured, but the car was a complete write-off. The vehicle had to be recovered using a crane from a towing company.
The breath alcohol measurement carried out on the driver was negative.
Cham: E-bike rider seriously injured in collision
A car collided with a E-bicycle at the Untermühlestrasse / Knonauerstrasse intersection. The e-bike rider was thereby seriously injured.
The accident occurred on Friday morning (September 17, 2021), shortly after 10:00 a.m. A 48-year-old driver intended to turn right from the Untermühlestrasse into the Knonauerstrasse in the direction of Cham. In doing so, he failed to see a 66-year-old cyclist
The E-bike rider, who was riding along on the Knonauerstrasse in the direction of Cham, fell to the ground as a result of the subsequent collision.
The 66-year-old woman cyclist suffered considerable injuries. After receiving initial medical care from the Zug ambulance service, she was admitted to a hospital in a neighbouring canton.
