The Zugerberg attracts many visitors at the moment

Down below grey, at the top blue sky – the sunny autumn days, with low fog in the Zug area, bring a pleasing number of visitors onto the Zugerberg. The current frequencies are well above the average of previous years.

Fresh air, sun and a view into the far distance seem to be particularly popular this autumn. The Zugerberg mountain railway (Zugerberg Bahn) has significantly higher frequencies than in previous years. This can be seen from the corresponding press release. The railway company had already reacted, and are now running every quarter of an hour during peak hours.

The Zugerberg Bahn also acts as a public transport and connection service for Zugerberg residents and the students of the Montana Institute. The trains are therefore correspondingly busy from Monday to Friday. Hikers and families are therefore advised to plan their trip to avoid these times.

If you plan cleverly, you won't have to queue
In concrete terms, the following hours are very busy according to experience, and waiting times can be expected at the mountain railway:

The public transport protection concept applies on the Zugerberg mountain railway. Wearing a mask is therefore mandatory in the waiting room, as well as at the bus stop and on the train. The team of the Zugerberg mountain railway regularly clean and disinfect the railway wagons.
