The Zug Märlisunntig association invites young and old to the lower area of Zug's old town on Sunday, 5 December from 1 to 6 p.m., and will help them get into the mood for the Christmas season.
On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, the zone between the Theater Casino Zug and the Landsgemeindeplatz will be transformed into a fairytale world, announces the Märlisunntig (Fairy Tale Sunday) association. Visitors can find a small market with catering possibilities, two nostalgic carousels and the popular Schminkstübli (make-up lounge). And, of course, Märlin and his followers from the fairytale land of Kolinstadt will pay a visit. The Grabenstrasse and the Neugasse will not be closed this year, due to the pandemic.
Children’s stories will be told in six small ‘Märlistuben’ in the lower area of Zug's old town and in two large Märlistuben in the Theater Casino Zug. The well-known storyteller Jolanda Steiner presents "The Bremen Town Musicians", a collaboration with the magician Martin Soom. The Zug Children's and Youth Theatre will perform "Wilma and the Seven Wolves".
