Referendum held over the weekend

Referendums were held throughout Switzerland and in Canton Zug at the weekend.
Here are a few of the more important local results

Canton Zug – Final results on the national initiatives:

Procurement of new fighter jets (Kampfjets):                                      YES with 60.0%
Immigration limitation initiative (Begrenzungsiniiative):                    NO  with 60.3%
Changes to the hunting laws (Jagdgesetz):                                         YES  with 52.9%
Increased tax deduction for children (Kinderabzüge):                        NO  with 61.3 %
Paternity leave (Vaterschaftsurlaub):                                                    YES  with 52.9 %

Large approval for the construction of the new Oekihof in the city of Zug:
The city of Zug can build a new waste recycling centre with Oekihof in the Göbli area: With a yes vote of 88.3%, the voters in the city of Zug approved a construction loan of CHF 20.9 million. The new building will also house the Brockenhaus of the Women's Centre and the Social Work GGZ@work. The voter turnout was 65.8%.

Baar: The municipality can start work on the details for the Unterfeld development. Voters support the council's proposal, and agreed to the partial revision of the building code and the zoning plan by 5,371 votes to 2,923.

The Binzmühle farm in Rotkreuz-Risch will be renovated: voters approved the proposal to spend CHF 7.7 million on refurbishing the historic buildings and to make it partially accessible to the public.

Neuheim approves the "Im Blatt" development plan: Voters supported the municipal council's motion by 81%. The referendum was carried out despite a pending appeal.
