Police stop driver under influence of drugs

On Thursday, 16 January, shortly before 10.30 a.m., police officers checked a car driver on the Neugasse in Baar. According to information from the law enforcement authorities in Zug, they found that the 35-year-old did not have a valid driver's license, with further investigations revealing that he had been banned from driving five years ago. A rapid drug test proved positive for amphetamine / methamphetamine. When asked, the man said he had used narcotics two days earlier. Police dog Wyk then searched the vehicle, and found an empty mini grip with residues of white powder, which was confiscated.

The offending driver will have to answer before the Public Prosecutor of the Canton of Zug for driving under the influence of drugs and driving while banned.
