Motorcyclist escapes with slight injuries following collision with car

A 19-year-old motorcyclist escaped with slight injuries following a collision with a car on Thursday morning.

The incident happened shortly after 11.45 am as the motorcyclist was proceeding from Steinhausen towards Baar along Schochenmühlestrasse.

At the same time, a car driven by a 33- year-old woman approached from the opposite direction, the two colliding on a slight bend.

As a result, the motorcyclist came off his machine and was slightly injured; he was duly taken to hospital. Fortunately, the woman driver was not injured at all, though damage to both vehicles amounted to CHF 20,000 in all.

As both those involved gave police contradictory accounts about what had happened, the police issued an appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call them on 041 728 41 41 without delay.
