Did ex-Bachelorette Chanelle Wyrsch find the man of her dreams on "First Dates"?

The 27-year-old pop singer met her blind date Mirco from Biberist over a cosy dinner and accompanied by the camera. Born in Hünenberg, she is looking for a partner who can stand up to her and is not jealous.

Wednesday evening saw the launch of the dating format "First Dates - Znacht für zwei" on the TV channel 3+, which belongs to CH Media. Various people meet for dinner on a blind date and are accompanied by the camera. At the end of the dinner, the two decide whether it is a "match" and whether they will meet again or not.

The first episode featured a familiar face to Swiss TV viewers. But this time she had to make do with just one man, instead of almost 20 suitors as in the past. We're talking about former Bachelorette and pop singer Chanelle Wyrsch.

Born in Hünenberg and having Algerian roots, she met 31-year-old warehouse worker Mirco from Biberist in the canton of Solothurn for dinner. Because she loves variety: "I always enjoy meeting new people. I love gaining new experiences, and that's something you don't do every day."

The singer, who currently lives in Cologne, also needed a change of scenery. This time, the 27-year-old is not blonde, but has a wild, orange mane. "I change my hair colour all the time. Last year it fluctuated between orange, red and blonde. Otherwise I quickly get bored," she says. The constantly changing hair colours and hairstyles are practically her trademark.

"My eyes and ears are open"
Chanelle Wyrsch was asked by the broadcaster whether she was single and would like to take part in "First Dates". "I thought to myself, why not give it a try? In this day and age with all the online dating, getting to know people has become really difficult. So I'm happy to take the opportunity to meet someone in person on a first date," she adds.

She’s not really looking at the moment: "I would say my eyes and ears are open. If the right person comes along, he'll cross my path. I don't rule out good opportunities like 'first dates' and other formats to get to know someone." This is not easy in this day and age.

"Everything is so fast-paced and nobody has any real staying power anymore. As a public figure, you may be admired, but you often don't know whether the person is interested in you as a person or in the 'public figure'," she says.

As a pop girl, she tends to be seen as well-behaved, quiet and naive: "When they meet me, almost everyone is surprised at how loud and wild I can be. Luckily I'm now doing party hits on the Ballermann, so I can really let off steam." The singer became famous through her participation in the casting show "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" in 2017.

"I'm loud, quick-witted and know what I want"
The ex-Bachelorette doesn't want to reveal whether a spark really took place between her and the spirited half-Italian Mirco before the programme airs on TV. What she can reveal is that she doesn't like jealous men. "Unfortunately, I can't do anything with that. I do a job where I'm desired and flirted with by lots of men on stage. Jealousy is not appropriate here," she continues. There has to be mutual trust with regard to her future partner.

Her future husband should also be able to stand up to her. Wyrsch: "I always try not to intimidate men, but unfortunately I can rarely keep my big mouth shut. I'm loud, quick-witted and know what I want." This often scares the men. "If I find someone who isn't so easily intimidated by me, then the chances of something serious are good."

Chanelle Wyrsch would take part in a dating show again. "That was a good experience. The format brings a lot of variety into the impersonal dating world," she concludes.

Chanelle Wyrsch and Mirco's blind date was shown on the TV channel 3+.on Wednesday, 17 January at 8.15 pm
