A heavy transporter became stuck on the snow-covered and partly slippery road In the Bachtalen area of Baar. A car travelling down the valley at the same time skidded and pushed a second vehicle into the truck. One person was injured.

The accident occurred on Monday evening (25 January 2021), shortly after 17:15, on the Blickensdorferstrasse in the municipality of Baar. A truck was driving up from the Bachtalen (literally: stream valleys), and the heavy goods vehicle became stuck on the snow-covered and partly slippery road.

A 70-year-old motorist was driving down the valley at the same time, with a passenger of the same age, when his vehicle started to skid. He was able to bring the car to a halt in time, but was then pushed into the stationary truck by a following vehicle, driven by a 42-year-old man, who had also skidded.

While the three drivers were all uninjured, the 70-year-old female passenger was not so lucky. She was treated on the spot by the Zug Ambulance Service and was then taken to hospital. Damage to the vehicles amounted to around CHF 33,000.

During the recovery of the vehicle, traffic had to be guided past the accident site an a single-lane. This led to traffic obstructions in the early evening traffic in the Baar area.
