eff-zett das fachzentrum




eff-zett das fachzentrum is one of the three business areas of the Frauenzentrale Zug

The ten departments of the eff-zett (FZ: Fachzentrum : expert centre) advise and inform men and women so that they can cope better with everyday life. Specialists  support people  in difficult situations.  The eff-zett also offers parenting classes  and lectures on current topics about child raising. Occasionally there are also courses on other themes such as relationship management, empowering women, budgeting etc..

•    Alimenteninkasso und Bevorschussung (Alimony collection and advances)
Trouble concerning alimony payments or basic questions concerning alimony?  On behalf of the municipalities of the canton of Zug we offer advice and help, free of charge. Tel 041 725 26 20

•    Budgetberatung (budget planning, budgeting advice)

How do I manage my money?  How can I make savings?  How can we organise our finances (married/ in a partnership /separated).  We advise men and women, clubs, groups and schools in money matters.  Guidelines, sample budgets or an individual budget consulting according to personal criteria.  041 725 26 35

•    Coaching Frau + Arbeit (Coaching Women + work)
This department deals with questions concerning family and profession and offers individual solution-oriented short-term counselling. Tel 041 725 26 80

•    Elternbildung (parent education)
Deals with all aspects of raising children and family life and is part of the adult education and preventative family assistance program.  Parent education is geared to mothers and fathers as well as other adults living with children. Tel 041 725 26 10

•    Kontaktstelle Selbsthilfe (Self-help)

Looking for a self-help group?  Do you want to start a self-help group?  Does your self-help group need new input?  Help for self-help, we offer our support. Tel 041 725 26 15

•    Opferberatung (victim counselling)

We help men, women and children who are victims of sexual and domestic abuse.  It is utmost important that the victims can talk about their feelings, anger and fears, even if the abuse was in the past.  We are there for you and we will look for ways to help you cope with the situation. •    Paar- und Familienberatung (marriage and family counselling)
You are in a difficult situation, have questions or are worried about your children, your partnership, your family, or yourself.  Together with you we will look for possible solutions to your concerns. Tel 041 725 26 60

•    Rechtsberatung (legal advice)

Sometimes it’s difficult to get one’s bearings in legal questions.  We give initial legal advice and show you possible ways to solve the problem.  We can put you in contact with the legal experts. Tel 041 725 26 30

•    Sexual- und Schwangerschaftsberatung (sexual counselling and family planning counselling)
Sexuality?  For teens, men and women, we have information that will help! Family planning, contraception, pregnancy, birth.  Tel 041 725 26 40

•    Trennungs-, Scheidungs- und Familienmediation (separation, divorce and family mediation)

How can a couple come to a binding arrangement for a separation or divorce? How can parental duties be organised after the separation or divorce so that the children don’t suffer? Together with you we will try to work out an agreement which will be in everyone’s best interest.  In the mediation we look for fair and suitable solutions to conflicts and problems in relationships.  Tel 041 725 26 70

Some of these services are free, some are not.  Fees are based on income.  Most of the consultations can be carried out in English.
