Bogged-down lorry disrupts evening rush-hour

As the result of an unsuccessful overtaking manoeuvre, a 20 ton lorry caused the Sinserstrasse between Hagendorn (Cham) and Hünenberg to be blocked.

On Monday, shortly before 2.45 p.m., a 25-year-old lorry driver wanted to overtake a road cleaning machine driving in front of him on the Sinserstrasse. In doing this, he came of the road onto the adjacent meadow, where the lorry became stuck.

A mobile crane was brought in to recover the truck, which was loaded with 20 tons of goods. The Sinserstrasse between Hagendorn (Cham) and the Reuss bridge in Hünenberg remained completely blocked until around 6.30 p.m. The resources Cham and Hünenberg fire brigades were deployed to organise a diversion for the evening rush hour traffic via Hünenberg (Drälikerstrasse).
