First they perform a dance choreographed by an Italian, then one by a Swede, before rounding it off with something from Britain. What this means when the Basle Ballet is involved is heated exchanges and highly-charged gestures. Then the feelings and movements flow out as the emotions are released, and the end result is sharp, powerful group choreographies. At which point, you are left wondering who actually choreographed what? Never mind, you can work it out for yourself. And if you get it right, you get a premiere, a quick trip to Southern Italy and the kind of dance that will make your jaw drop.

Introduction in German by Bettina Fischer at 07.15pm
