69-year-old woman seriously injured

A 69-year-old woman had to be flown to a specialist clinic after she was rolled over by her own car late on Thursday morning.
 
The incident happened shortly after 11.15 am as she was driving her car along Bannholzstrasse towards Hintergeissboden on the Zugerberg. As a cow was blocking her way, she got out of her vehicle but as she did so she lost her balance and was run over by her own car, sustaining serious injuries to her legs and feet.
 
A number of passers-by rushed to assist and called the emergency services. When they arrived they decided to call for a helicopter and she was subsequently flown to a specialist clinic.
 
The Zug Police are still investigating the precise details of the incident.
