58-year-old driver has lucky escape

A driver had a lucky escape yesterday afternoon after he noticed his car was on fire.
 
It was shortly before 2 pm as the 58-year-old was driving along Ahornstrasse that he noticed the problem and he duly stopped and got out of his vehicle before flames engulfed it
 
Fortunately, no fewer than 30 members of local fire brigade were soon on the scene and extinguished the fire.
 
Police think a technical problem caused the blaze, which resulted in damage to the tune of several thousand francs.
