33-year-old workman dies at scene

It is sad to have to report that a workman died from injuries he sustained after being hit by a piece of falling scaffolding on Saturday morning.
 
The incident happened at 8.30 am at a building site at an undisclosed location in the municipality. It is understood a number of workmen had been deployed to remove the scaffolding when one piece fell and struck the workman. Despite the quick response of the emergency services, the 33-year-old died at the scene.
 
The police are now investigating the precise circumstances of the incident.
 
In addition to the emergency services, members of the Zug Care Team were also in attendance.
