26-year-old man beaten and robbed

A 26-year-old man was beaten and robbed near the railway lines in Cham on Saturday evening; the police have since issued an appeal to the public to help identify the three culprits.

The attack took place at around 9.30pm that evening as the victim was walking on the gravel path between the railway lines and St Jacob’s church. Two of his assailants began to punch him, leading him to suffer a cut bruise on the face while robbing him of a neck chain and sports jacket at the same time. The three attackers then fled the scene in the direction of the River Lorze.

The police have subsequently issued an appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area of this gravel path that evening to contact them without delay on 041 728 41 41.

One attacker was described as 180 cm tall, between 18 and 19 years old, of athletic build, dark-skinned, with a round face, black hair, dark eyes and a beard. At the time of the attack he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with fur and a black Nike woollen hat. Furthermore, he spoke Swiss-German with a Balkan accent.
 
Another attacker was described as 170 cm tall, between 17 and 18 years old, slim with a round face of white complexion, dark blond hair in a Mohican style and blue eyes. At the time of the attack he was wearing brown-beige trousers, a black puffa jacket and black Nike Air-max shoes. He also spoke Swiss-German with a Balkan accent.
 
The third culprit was described as around 170 cm tall with a white complexion and stocky figure. He also had a roundish face with black hair in a crewcut style. At the time of the attack he was wearing dark jeans, a grey sports jacket with a zip and black shoes. It was also noticed how he spoke Swiss-German.
