17-year-old injured in late night attack

A 17-year-old youth was attacked by a group of young men on Friday evening. The police have since appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
 
The incident happened between 10 pm and 11 pm by the entrance to the public conveniences at Platzwehri near Landsgemeindeplatz in the Old Town when the youth was suddenly confronted by a group of young men unknown to him. They initially abused him verbally and then attacked him, leaving him with a number of injuries to his face.
 
The Zug Police would like to hear from anyone who might be able to provide them with information leading to the identity of the culprits by calling 041 728 41 41 without delay.
